I need some advice. I do not listen to my stereo loud but sometimes i have to turn it up. when i turn it up, my whole stereo shuts off for a split second and resume like nothing happened. I noticed it only happens when i turn it up and when the bass kicks in during the song. I assume when the bass kicks in, my stereo sucks all the power and shuts off my stereo until that bass from the song passes. I have a 10 inch CVR kicker, Apline m650 mono, 8 gauge amp kit and a hi to low converter.

This is the first time i used a hi to lower converter. i did not connect it to the stereo unit but instead i found wiring that is near my navigation that i was able to tap into. I have a 01gs430. Below is a elementary pic of my set up in the trunk. Can the hi to low converter be the issue?
