Default Will these Infinity 4" speakers fit in my '93 SC rear deck?

I am hoping someone can confirm if these 4" Infinity speakers will fit in the rear deck of my 1993 SC with little or no physical modification:

I looked for the equivalent of the 210W speakers listed in this thread:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lex...placement.html

One of my rear speakers has given up the ghost and rather than buy $300+ OEM replacements or find salvaged OEM speakers on ebay I figured I'd just get an aftermarket pair.

FYI, my car's stereo is 100% stock Pioneer.

Thanks!

1. Your pioneer system probably isn't 210watts in total, so looking for 210W speakers is pointless

2. 210W in a 4" speaker is ridiculous, and you're more likely to find a unicorn than a 4" speaker that can truly handle 210W

3. You can fit 5.25" speakers in the back by removing the black stands and mounting them directly into the deck. You get better and fuller sound because you have more cone space

Thank you! So 5.25" is a shoo-in fitment, then? If I shouldn't bother with a 210W rating, what wattage should I be looking for if I just want a replacement set?

I have $1500 speakers in my car and they aren't even 210W...focus more on 40-50W range

Thank you for the advice!

In case I didn't want to modify the mounting areas, could I just use these 4" speakers?

Or, in 5.25", how about this one? Would it require modifying anything other than removing the black stands as you suggested?

Either one should fit. You don't need to mod anything, you simply remove the black housing and screw directly into the rear deck. pretty simple and straight forward.

The 210watts you a re referring to is peak power. Those Infiniti's are 70w RMS

^^ Thank you for that. I thought 210W had to be peak/combined power and not individual to each speaker.

I ended up buying the 5.25" Infinity speakers listed. I'll install them soon.

Major edit. I had, at the time of this post, had a long workday and encountered the fitment issue and really became frustrated. A day later an a car back together and I have perspective and peace of mind again.

5.25" would not fit at all unless I had a custom bracket made. I found that 4" retains the baffle and 6.5" may have bolted directly to the chassis. The other size was a lot of trouble.

I ended up returning the Infinity's and getting a set of Polk Audio DS40's (4" size) since the shop only had two decent speakers in 4". They bolted right in and I only needed to strip the factory wire ends and solder the connections before total reassembly. I'm happy.

Except that now I'm concerned my factory amp may be wearing out since it has distortion in the rear driver's side speaker when reproducing a certain frequency.
