thoughts on dice install locations/setup
Howdy folks,
I have a 2009 rx350 and it is good except there is no bluetooth or aux jack on the stereo.
After much research I recently purchased the dice media bridge with bluetooth to remedy this situation.
I am going to have it professionally installed but wanted some advice on location/setup from folks who have these. Three questions;
1. The microphone - I am thinking I should have them run it up just above the rear view mirror based on what I have read.
2. The unit itself - while I don't plan on using it with a usb drive I understand that I would need access to this in order to apply firmware updates. Would it be best to locate the unit in the glovebox? can I run a usb cable from the unit into the glovebox? would I need an extension cable or does it come with one.
3. Also on the subject of the unit - where should I run the aux input to? sometimes we might want to plug in a device via aux w/o pairing via bluetooth.
Thanks for your help - pictures or links to pictures would be great!

Welcome to CL, ram350.
Regarding your second question, I would suggest placing the unit in the space underneath and forward of the shifter. It's a matter of removing two clips to gain access in the footwell area. There is plenty of space under there for the unit and it's also close to the radio. A USB cable line can be placed in the glovebox from that location very easily. My old installer ran the line into the middle console but it required going under the tray and carpet and drilling a hole int he bottom of the console. It made for a clean install though. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures or experience with the Media Bridge. I had the VAIS Soundlinq in my 330. Good luck with the install.
