Default Pioneer HU powering Factory Subwoofer?

I'm thinking about putting in a Pioneer AVIC X930BT into my 2001 GS300. Retention of the factory amp is out of the question and the main speakers would be driven by the internal amp of the HU. I'm fine with all of that.

However, by dumping the factory amp, that kills the Subwoofer. As I plan on keeping all of the factory speakers, Is it possible to wire in the subwoofer into the rear speakers so that the HU powers everything? Is that safe to do? How would that look like and where would the splicing be?

I suggest getting a small amp to power the sub. Better yet replace the sub and get an amp.

If you are using the rear speakers, you will need a 5th amp channel for the sub.
