Default 2- or 3-Way Speakers: Which Is The Right One?

I have a 1990 Lexus LS400.

The speakers on the Right Side of the car are completely blown out.

Instead of just replacing the speakers on the Right Side, I'm going replace All the Speakers.

I know that the '90 LS has 4'' speakers, what I don't know is if I should use 2- or 3-Way Speakers and if I need a Coaxial or Component Speakers? Also, what size are the Tweeters in the front of the car, and the size of the subwoofer on the back rear of the car?

So far, I plan to get these:

Pioneer Head Unit

Pioneer 2-Way Speakers

Pioneer Tweeters

^I know that I need a better Head Unit, because I want to be able to plug in my iPod to it. Also, the lights have to be blue.

As for the speakers, I'm not sure if the 2- or 3-Way are best, and if I need Coaxial or Component speakers, and the size of the Front Tweeters and Rear Subwoofer?

id say 2way seeing as 3 & 4 way speakers are really just gimmicks to get more money... 3 or 4th tweets are listed as supertweeters ( starting at 14k hz just at the upper end of the human hearing range) so u wouldnt REALLY hear anything coming from those extra speakers.... if anything get a nice midgrade set of coaxials or even a really nice set of components that would make quality sound an most likely last way longer than lil gimmicky speakers 1 step out of the flea market....

also metra shows tweets at 1'' , 5.25 in front 6.5 in rear and an 8'' sub heres the link

Ok, so I'm just gonna stick with the 2way.

The head unit I picked out is fine, and what I want, since I'm gonna change the interior lights to blue also.

According to sonicelectronix.com, my speaker sizes are:

Front: 4'' Component Speakers
Rear: 4'' Speakers
Subwoofer: 8'' 2Ohm, 40 Watt

But according to Metra, it's stating:

Front: 5.25, 3 depth speakers
Rear: 6.25, 3 depth speakers
Subwoofer: 8, 4 depth speakers
Tweeters 1, 1 depth

So, I'm probably gonna just take apart my speakers and measure them, that's probably the best way to go about with this.

Also, whats the difference between Component and Coaxial speakers? I saw a video explaining it, but I didn't really get it.

component speakers mount separately where coaxials are together as 1 piece... typically components sound better due to better crossovers an better quality materials used in construction..

And better imaging!

Coaxials are fine if on a tighter budget but if cash allows go for a good set of components!
