Hey guys, I have a 01 is300, and i'm going to buy a custom enclosure. The enclosure can be made with 1 chamber (1.70ft^3) for a 10 or 12 inch. or 2 chambers(.85ft^3 each) for 2 10s or 2 12s. It is a sealed box. What sub/subs would be good for this.

What im looking for
If 2 subs then around 600 rms each
If 1 sub then around 1000 rms

Budget? When do you need it?

If you go with dual subs, stick with 10's. .85cf for most 12's is way too little space. 1.7cf for a 12 is usually right on the money.

 

budget- anywhere around $150-200(each) for 2 subs
around $250-300 for 1

I was thinking about getting 2 RE Audio SEX 10s but the max for sealed box is .60cf or
1 12 SXX which would have been between the min/max for a sealed box.

just looking around for right now.

 

I don't usually like to talk negatively about any product but skip RE. The guy that runs fixmyspeaker.com and psicaraudio.com used to work at RE in Las Vegas where they used to make all of their drivers. He went with RE when it was sold to the same guy that owns US Amps. He was also the guy that went to China to teach them to build RE subs. He says that current quality isn't the same.
