Do i need to replace my speakers??
So i installed some alpine type S speakers about a year ago on my ES. Went all around with the type S (front tweeters & components, rear coaxials, dual 10" subs). Im also running 1000w alpine amp to power the subs & 200W 4/3/2 channel amp to power the speakers.
About 6 months ago, i noticed both tweeters are suddenly becoming "choppy" with sound output (goes mute for a few sec & comes back on). I also figured out that the sound would come back if i turn up the volume.
So question is, do i need new tweeters? Anyone knows what might be causing this?
