Phone contacts limited to 1,000
I have a company issued Blackberry Storm 9535. The Bluetooth connectivity is fine, however I have over 2k contacts in my Blackberry. This is because Storm syncs with my company Outlook email contacts (which I do need all 2k).
I tried using the default Lexus screens and it pulls in the first 1,000 contacts then says "memory full". I want to xfer the contacts that I will use on the road. Such as family, friends, business colleagues, and my direct reports. I would guess this would amount to over 225 names. Don't want to key all these in manually.
Does anyone know how to transfer contacts from specific categories I have in my Blackberry and not pull in default first 1,000?

Go to Bluetooth options on your Blackberry and change the "Contacts Transfer" from "All Entries" to "Hotlist Only" or "Selected Categories Only".

I've been reading my wife's Blackberry manual which got me wondering if you could configure your Storm to allow transferring contacts only from the SIM card to the Lexus Bluetooth system. On many phones, one can choose/limit which categories or contacts are moved from the phone's address book to the SIM card. In fact, some Bluetooth and older non-Bluetooth car phone systems pull contacts only from the SIM card.
The following is from the Blackberry Bold user manual:
"SIM Access - This profile allows you to use a Bluetooth enabled car kit to control the SIM card on your BlackBerry device so that you can make and receive calls using the car kit. When you use this feature, data services (email, PIN and MMS messages, and browser service) are not available on your device, and phone services are accessible only through the car kit. Before you can use this feature, you might need to enter a 16-digit alphanumeric code, generated by the car kit, on your BlackBerry device."
You also could ask your question on one of the Blackberry forums or see if you could find a local Blackberry techie. I hate to muck much more with my wife's corporate Blackberry.
