All,

I have never done anything with car audio before (ok, except for in high school). I have a GS with the Mark Levinson audio system. Overall I like the sounds but my sub is blown. I have a limited budget and sound quality is at the top of my list.

Here would be my goal with a new system:
-iPod link into head unit
-new sub to replace blown one
-sound quality over being excessively loud
-video would be nice but definitally not a requirement

What do you think? Replace all speakers and head unit? Just replace sub? I am a good DIY person, but have not done this type of thing before.

Replace the speakers first (sub included) with some good aftermarkets. You'll be amazed at the difference in sound quality.

Thanks for the response, any advice on brand and model? Also, where do you suggest purchasing the new components?
