Adding amp/sub to stock system
I'm looking to add an amp and a sub to my stock system in my 99 ES300. What I'm wondering is if I need to use a line output converter to connect to the stock speakers or if I can just connect the loc to the stock sub output?
Any solutions?
I will be using a 500W Alpine amp and a 10" Alpine Type-R. Any help is much appreciated.

So I just picked up the stuff today and tried to hook it up, but I could not find a way to get the power wire for the amp through the firewall to connect to the battery.
Any help?
I couldn't find a hole in the firewall or the engine bay to snake the power wire through.

try around the rubber boot of the steering columm then once u run the wire thru u can use silicone to seal the hole around the power cable then just either run it thru the side of the doors sills or if u really wanna do it right run it thru the middle of the car under the rug to the trunk
