Speaker Gurus...
Which speaker brand is good for vocal and midbass? Looking for 2-way coaxials 6 1/2. Thanks.
Any JL Audio fans here?

the above brands are good choices but for a little more wallet friendly options you might wanna also check out image dynamics, cdt audio, and maybe even some older mb quarts when they were made in germany, your best bet is components but if your set on coaxials try and stay away from metal tweeters, silk and the like material is the way to go for smooth realistic sounding vocals, in any case if you listen to any speaker in a sales floor of an audio store keep in mind that itll sound alot different once installed in your car, hope this helps in your decision and rock on

I just replaced a rear set of kicker k60 with SL65 Boston,
They were half price at Crutchfield and they sound much smother and don't hurt my ears like the Kickers.
These are both coax but like mentioned above have Kortec soft-dome vs titanium dome tweeter.
Same specs save the power handling and size of tweeter, so unless you are going to be powering them with over 100 WPC RMS, you can get the TR's. If they're comparably priced to within $30 of each other, having a larger tweeter usually helps with imaging a bit since it brings the response lower toward the midrange. Great if you're not putting them together in the same location/plane of the car. If you're mounting them in the factory location, the bigger tweet is mo betta.
