Default After market sub problem

I had an aftermarket sub and amp professionally installed a few years ago. I took the sub out about a year ago cause I needed room to for moving. Now when I put it back, I turn on the radio and no sound comes out of the stock speakers. All I hear is base from the my stock sub and the aftermarket sub. Anyone have any ideas to what is wrong.

Also, I when I first had the sub installed, there were problems with it doing the same thing but I would flip the power locks and it would pop on. This happened a few times. Could it be that I need a capacitor cause it is not getting enough power? Bad ground/wiring?

Are your stock speakers wired to the amp? Something has to be wired wrong, you shouldn't have to flip the power locks for anything to turn on. As for the cap, you don't need one.

No the speakers are not wired to the aftermarket amp. Could it be a bad ground?
