Default IPOD not turning off with Lexus IPOD interface..

Hello Everyone,
I just recently got the Lexus IPOD interface installed. I can listen to everything on my ipod without any issues, but it won't turn off when I turn off the car. So most of the time I find my ipod completely drained because it was left on when the car is turned off. Is the ipod suppose to turn off with when the car gets turned off? If so, what do I do to make it turn off when I turn off the ignition? Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...Darshana S...

It a ipod function. Go into your ipod settings and set the timer for it to sleep after a period of time.
Of course i dont have the ipod interface but does the ipod pause when the car turns off?

The iPod should turn off after x amount inactive use.
If you are using a iTouch then the problem is that it is not charging the iTouch as it uses a different power pin for charging than standard iPods and will not charge an iTouch.
