What sub should I get (99 LS400)
So I'd like to replace my stock sub...I think over the years it has lost some quality and has a bad rattle on really low frequency stuff.
I guess my options are
1. OEM-like sub, same amp...free air, ~40 watts rms , 2ohm I think.
2. new amp, new sub - free air (or trunk) setup.
I'm not looking to spend a ton, just probably gettin one 8" to 12" sub put in...I don't know if I want to stay within stock specs or getting something a little boomier. I'd like to stay with free air type setup unless I can get a really good deal on a box for the trunk...but I've heard the bass does not transfer as well that way, and I'd like to keep the space.
I have a stock HU with PureDrifter's aux input setup for my mp3 player so I'm not looking to change that.
Any input or similar setups appreciated.

I have a kicker CVX10 in the kicker spec box which doesn't take up too much space. i only have 250 watts going to it and it is very loud!!! Awesome sub, the problem with free air setups is that they are a pain to find one to fit.
