Default Removing Factory Tweeter And Crossover To Install Coaxial Aftermarket Speakers

I have a 2000 Lexus GS300, which comes with 4 inch speakers and a separate component tweeter.

I wanna replace that with an aftermarket coaxial speaker, but I'm unsure about how I should go about this because of the factory tweeter and crossover.

I want to completely defeat the factory tweeter and the crossover to it and just have the unsplit signal sent to my new coaxial speakers. If I just unplug the wires in the factory tweeter am I good to go? Or do I have to take the wires from the factory tweeter and wire them to my new coaxial speaker? Something else?

PS: I had an aftermarket subwoofer installed by a proshop with an adjustable amp crossover. I don't think this would matter, but I am mentioning it just incase.

Speaker wires from the mid (4 inch) door location should be full range. Try tapping into those first. Coaxial speakers should have their own small crossover capacitor so no worries about running a single feed to it.

Sounds like your asking a similar question to mine. I own a 2015 RX350 c/w a 12 speaker premium sound package. I debating to upgrade the factory speakers.
There is a 3 way component system in the fronts; a 2 way component system in the rears; a center dash & a driver’s rear sub.
Some have replaced the front 6x9 fronts with 6.5 coaxial’s.
Is it possible to add a coaxial speaker to a component setup?
How are the crossovers points made for the front & rear components from the factory?
Is the 6x9 fed a full line signal or cut off? What about the tweeter & the mid?
Can I remove the 6x9 & the tweeter,leaving the midrange & install a 2 way component?
But before making any of the above changes can anyone give some insight to the best EQ settings to optimize the sound.

I am in the same information gathering stage with the same vehicle as yours (2015 RX350 Base).
Did you ever get answers to these questions?

I am hoping the front door 6 x 9's are fed a full frequency signal. I then plan to disconnect the rear door speakers, the front door tweeters & mid-range,, and the front center dash speaker.

Then there is the question to use a 6 x 9 coaxial in the front door, or a 6.5 coaxial. An adapter is available to fit the 6.5. The 6.5 would probably have less bass than the 6 x 9, which could be a good thing; let the rear subwoofer handle those frequencies.

Thanks for any help / info.
