I have a double din Nav receiver and dvd player i just bought and i was wondering if i needed a separate amp to run it. My friend is gonna do the install but i have to pick up all the equiptment id appreciate some help. BTW the install is for a IS250

I don't think a double din will fit at the bottom of the audio console. I've seen single din systems put there but not double din. If you were to get it to sork, you shouldn't need an amp because the head unit should have a preamp inside it. Plus the speakers for the IS250 already have an amplifier to power them.

hook it up see how it sounds, if u like it then dont need an extra amp, if u wanna run a sub then yeah u need one .. i dont know on the is's but are the speakers amped individually ?
