....
I'm not really a huge noob to car audio, I've done about 5 installs to date :woot: .
..

I have an RF amp from my previous car I took out to install into my 99 GS300; and I also recently purchased a 12" Power Acoustik subwoofer to install into the vehicle..
I also bought a line out converter as well; but none of the online wiring "info" makes sense.
The car has a "Lexus" Premium audio system. (doesn't say Nak or Mark Levinson on it)

I know how to plug in the amp for power;
What's a good ground spot in the 2nd Gen GS?

Also I know how to plug in the sub to the amp
How/where do I wire in the remote wire is my question :(

Have you got the answers you were looking for? I'm planning on doing the samething as you and having the same questions. Please let me know if you have the answers to your questions. Thanks.

Nope didn't get any answers yet.
I know how to plug the power in, I know how to ground it as well;
Where does the remote wire go is my question and for the converter box could the current sub woofer's lines be tapped?

I just did it it wasn't too difficult..most difficult was running the RCA's under the center console.
Just tap into the light green wire going to the factory amp.

The ground I used was the seat belt bolt behind the rear bench

pm me for details

in my 99 gs300 same stereo you have the premium

ground i used the seat belt bolt behind the rear seat as rapollon said, another location that would work well would be the brackets that hold a net in the trunk, you could unbolt them sand down to metal and bolt it all down good and tight

the remote wire i got real lazy and tapped the 12volt plug in the glove box ran under the carpet back seat to the trunk, didn't feel like pulling the head unit to tap the power behind it or running to the fuse box (i got lazy)

for my line out converter i tapped the sub since all wanted was lows anyway, now I'm going back threw and tapping the rear door speakers so i can pull a little more 'high' bass into the mix and using an active cross over to blend the subs signal and the door speakers signal into a nice mixture for my sub if that makes sense
