Upgrading to Nakamichi from premium system..??
hei guys,
i own the stock premium Pioneer H/U on my GS4 and I'm planning to upgrade it with the Nakamichi H/U sound system. Now, my questions are; can this be a straight plug n play w/out any modification..?? secondly, do i need the Nakamichi stock amp. to get this sound system up and running..?? I've searched around but i can't really find the threads that i'm looking for. So for all of you audio gurus out there i'm seeking for some enlightment
.
thanks ahead,
Ray

i kinda like to keep my interior within a stock look w/out having all the hi-tech gizmo installed. i might replace the speakers, but thats ok since its covered by the door panel. So have someone had done this project in the past..?? info please....
NOT WORTH THE NAK UPGRADE. You'll need all new wiring harnesses, new amp, etc.
The best bang for the buck that you can do is to upgrade the speakers. Depends on what you goal is.
If you goal is sound QUALITY, then look no further than Dynaudio speakers.

Coco-bun,
wow...Denon H/U actually is not bad. thanks for the info. The only reason why I'm thinking about doing the NAK upgrade is because some of the pixel were burnt on my premium H/U, but other than that i'm pretty content with it.
Percy,
i listens to alot of rock music stuff, but on different occasion i also listens to other types of music as well. What i really want on my speakers are something like a "quick-fix" kinda thing that produces sounds more on the mid range. The stock speakers are actually pretty OK to me, however i need a lil' bit more on tweets and definately on the mids. So after that being said, do you have any sets of component or full range you can refer me to..??

If you're after sound QUALITY, then Dynaudio speakers. Look no further. But beware as they are pricey!
The sound difference from the stocks to the Dyns are tremendous. Much more midbass, midrange, better highs, much better transparency.

There are other brands though if you can't afford the Dyns. CDT, Focal, Morel and a few others. Just no MB Quart - lots of hype with them and to many they sound very bright, even with the levels turned down.
