this is my first time doing somthing eletroinc to my car i have done everything else but i would like to hook this and my safc up this afternoon




well today i am installing my head unit as soon as my friend gets home from work i went to best buy to get a harness and all they had was the metra 87 and up model is there a wiring diagram also i have already removed the 12 disc cd changer and nak amp since they haven't work since i have bought the car.


so what i need it a....

wiring diagram for the metra to the sc
a stock head unit removal guide ( i don't wanna buy the one online)

btw i am running the pioneer peh-4800 head unit its there away i can get optional ipod support from the install because the head deck come with the aux but there was no cable in the box. + i would like to run my psp if possiable

i dont not like the raido so there is no need for me to have it installed on my deck i like cd's

 

gotta run wire to the trunk where the amp plug is the wire colors are common toyota colors, u can get the colors from the12volt.com

 

i don't know if you did your install yet but i just did one on my 97, i just snipped the grey, the blue and yellow and grounded the unit to a bolt. as for wires, the diagrams werent all that helpful so i bought speaker wire and individually ran it my self.

Its really easy. But if u're gonna take it to a shop make sure they have a good reputation.
