hello all

I have a 95 GS and can't good radio reception. I live in a very populated area. I have a very good alpine deck. After i had my stuff installed, i lost good radio reception.

We put the antenna up but that didn't help. I just put in an amplified Metra antenna and that just made it worse.

Any ideas?

 

Did they forget to hook the ant up behind the radio?

cjones4640 asked a valid question. It takes a little time to diagnose a problem like this since there could be hundreds of causes. You have given us a single symptom. It's like asking why your car won't start. We have to start eliminating the obvious things like being out of gas.

Yes, its hooked up!

 

Is the car tinted? Tint with a lot of metal in it will cause this problem.

 

no, its stock. The actually antenna piece is mounted in the left lower corner of the windshield.

EVerything is stock besides the audio system

 

The deck could just have a bad tuner or may need a better ground. If the radio is pulling its ground from the antenna then the reception can suffer. There are quite a few things it could be but without getting in there and trouble shooting it would be hard to pin point.
