I would think so, but it really depends on the sub.. What ohm will the sub be?

I think somewhere around 1000w total system power is where you want to add a cap--- when 700~800 is coming from the sub amp and it's class d-

I run 500w rms from a class d and 300w rms from a 4ch and have no problems with my charging system whatsoever-- no cap or anything--

A 2.0F cap should work though-- unless you find a 10F for cheap, in which case you'd never need to upgrade your cap again--

depends on if you are bridging the amp, how many ohms on the sub, but you will need a capacitor, probably a 2 farad

I personally think a cap is a waste of money. Even if you wanted to put one in there you don't even know if you need it. I'd wait until everything was installed first...then troubleshoot from there.

I'm going to have to disagree-- If you're running 1400w rms, you NEED a cap, even with 1000w rms, you really want a cap in there--

Even better though would be to add a second battery in the trunk--
