I recently purchased an after market deck, a Jensen VM9311 to be exact and have a few questions.

Number 1, Is it possible to run the system through my factory amp? And if so what special harness do i need?

Number 2, One of my local shops told me they had to bypass the factory amp, if this is so is it possible to do it myself? And will my stock subwoofers still work?

any answers would be greatly appreciated and any tips or instructons on how to do them would be even better, thank you.

 

you can probably get an amplifier integration harness for your car, but no your subwoofer won't work.

if that harness doesn't work then you can bypass the amplifier by running speaker wires to the amplifier or to the speakers themselves.
