2006 gs300 stereo installation
Has anyone successfully installed an aftermarket navigation system in a 2006 gs300? I have one without nav or ml and I want to install either a Pioneer AVIC-N3 or Z1. I have around $3000 to spend. Would this void my warranty? Is it possible to have the dealership install an original dvd nav unit? I would also like for my oem touch screen and my steering wheel sound controls to continue working with the new head unit. I took my car to Sound Advice and the installer there told me that he wouldn't even touch the car for fear of breaking something. I then contacted Crutchfield and they don't have any information whatsoever. I have searched everywhere without success. Thanks

What is your budget?
How about installing the following parts:
Aux IN for Audio
A seperate touch screen Alpine Hub for Nav, DVD Video, MP3, Ipod, etc
What exactly does the hub do? Where can I find one and has anyone tried this yet? I have around three grand to spend. I could spend more, though. Money is not a major issue, I don't want to ruin my car, though.
find a reputable shop and take it to them, ask a lot of questions and ask to see their work. DO NOT settle for the shop that will do it the cheapest and the fastest. This is why you bought a lexus
we see this a hundred times, people will come in and get a quote and then go down the road and make the deal with someone for a hundred dollars less...then come back to us two months later to fix the other shop's mess ups.

(It's really because they can't spend the inordinate amount of time to do the proper research and figure it all out, or you'd be paying them mega-beaucoup bucks.)

depends on what was done, and how bad of a hack job was done. we're not going to give someone the shaft without lube just because they went with someone else. but we're gonna take the time to do it right like we do on all our jobs.
