Default JL Cleansweep and Alpine H701?

I was going to get an H701 to process the sound in my car. I have a iS250 with nav and would like to keep the stock HU. Would I still need to buy a cleansweep to get the cleanest signal possible? As I would still like to retain nav commands and such.

My plan was to eventually get a VAIStech video unit (when they come out, supposedly sometime at the end of the year) and then have everything to the H701.

Or the other alternative was to just scrap the OEM changer and put in a Alpine W200 and hook that up to the h701.

Thoughts?

You can definitely go with the JL/h701 route.

Most stock decks have DSP in the way (like fixed boost) so a JL cleansweep will help flatten the frequency response. This gives you a much better platform to work with when you tune with the H701.

but will the rockford 3sixty.2 replace the cleansweep/h701 combo?

I was just wondering since I am going to get the h701 would a cleansweep be necessary? sorry if how I stated the question was a bit confusing. Thanks!

You can also think about the Alpine PXE-H650.
If you're not going crazy you can use JL Cleansweep or 3sixty.1.
If 6-channel, etc, then 3.sixty.2.
I don't exactly see how the Rockford 3sixty is more advanced than the Cleansweep - they're both digital correction EQs, but I haven't used them.

check out the specs on the 3sixty.2, you have individual 32 band eq's for each speaker, as well as time alignment, and MANY more options. You do all of the editing through a bluetooth enabled PDA, which saves your info on to it. if your system crashes, resets, or whatever you just load in your profile and BOOM....back to the way it was as if nothing has every changed.

Does the 3sixty.2 auto-correct as well?

hrm the only thing that hinders me from getting the 3sixty.2 is that I would have to buy a PDA to control it. If only it worked with WM5 as I use WM5 not palm.

unless you REALLY know your car audio, then you should have a certified dealer install it for you. and the ones who sell the 3sixty.2 should have a PDA ready to do all that.

we have all of our 3sixty.2 customer's profiles saved in our pda so that we can load them back in if there's ever an issue.
