Default I need a motor to motorize my monitor straight up the dash

any idea where i can find a motor to motorize a monitor straight up from the dash

I don't know of one but I had the same idea for my GS3!! If you find out anything be sure to let me know something. I took mines to the dealer and he had an idea about one that would rise and lower at the push of a button be he needed to know what was underneath the topside of the dash and if it was enough room to be possible to do. IF you have or know someone that has a diagram of the dashboard and its parts this would be very helpful in getting this done for us. Let's go from there.

That would be a awesome guys, I have also had an idea of doing this in the GS but wasnt sure if it would be possible.

I will keep you posted

My installer found a motor
it retails around $200

also found a company that makes OEM Lexus headrests with 7" built in monitors

they arent available till the end of the month
im buying 2 of them

they are $699 a piece

I will give you all the info as soon as i receive mine

I have a big car show coming up in november so i need to get this done ASAP

they arent available yet
and they have no inof on there website yet

they 5.6" monitor headrest is $550
and the 7" monitor headrest is $700

You should check out the new ES300, its NAV screen is motorized to retract into and out of a resting position in the dash. Pretty slick. You may be able to poach the motor on that from Lexus and make it work for you application. Or, you could go check it out at the dealer to get an idea as to how you might be able to make it work in the GS.
