hummm, you guys should have mentioned something about sub amps, I was never comparing the sub powering effectiveness of either amps. I thought you guys were talking about cool old school amp in general. PG was all about SQ anyways!

was that a VLX-400? i had one in my 86' 4Runner about 11 years ago. i remember wiring it up and it having 4 4ga power and 4 4ga ground cables. i was pretty clueless about car audio at the time and i always wondered why my stock charging system couldnt keep up with it.... damn, im getting old.

I loved amps so much I had over 20 full systems before I had a car. I later owned 3 car audio stores.

I took 9/11 and the loss of the stores pretty hard so I have avoided it for 5 years. This year I am getting the itch again. You can't get it out of your system once it is in.
