CD changer won't load? 92 sc300
 

Howdy from Oklahoma, I have already browsed other threads and have seen that I may need to put a cd cleaner disc into my unit.

Here is my main problem. It doesn't sound like the cd is even loading. I hear a click-click-click from the trunk changer and the display does display te disc # but just keeps clicking. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is for my daughters car.

the cd changer itself is pretty much done for. what most people don't realize is that the cd lens cleaner does more harm then anything else. The laser is out of alignment if you wanted to know what the problem is. Just replace the headunit with something that has a cd player.

Thanks Vinny, I do have another CD changer I can install that I know works. It would be nice to use origianal equipment. Thanks for the feedback. Since there is no easy fix I guess I have an install to perform.

Also if the disc are home burnt, they are slightly thicker. For a 12cd, I have been told not to exceed 1 of the home burnt types.
