JL Clean Sweep opinions
I've been searching around trying to find the best way to avoid swapping out the original HU and updating the AMP and Sub.
....After quite a bit of research, it looks as thought JL's Clean Sweep is probably the least expensive/best sounding route to go.
........Has anyone installed the unit?
any problems? does it sound as good as advertised?
would you reccomend it?

There is no question in my mind that this unit is awesome. I don't have one though.
You don't need super quality either, since you're sealing with a factory headunit to begin with. Just need the right features and some filtering. JL makes good stuff.

thanks for the reply.
But from what I understand.....its the ONLY option unless I want to splice a new harness, or replace the head unit
Just curious if anyone actually bought one and are happy with it.
Im also adding Sirius to it.

The only way to get into the factory signals is tap into the speaker wires.
Phoenix Gold makes a linedriver w/ a built in high to low converter SLD44
Hey guys,
I'm a frequent "lurker" but I hardly post. But you can also use the AudioControl LC6. I'm looking into the same LLC converter and if you do a search, you can find some great convertors. The LC6 will let you have up to 6 channels and AudioControl just introduced the LC8. Good luck.

I know that the factory HU doesnt have RCA. The only way period is to splice. Im just trying to find the best way to keep "stock" looks, yet after-market performance.

The JL Audio Cleansweep is more than just a Line Out Convertor. It has a built in DSP that correct the frequency response from the stock headunit. Most stock headunits have their own DSP that will increase bass and high frequency response to comphensate for the lack of quality speakers.
If you just need sound, a regular LOC will work. If you want the utmost high quality signal and response you can get from the stock deck, then the JL Audio Cleansweep is the way to go.
