Clifford matrix 3.5, turbo timer feature

Clifford matrix 3.5, turbo timer feature
I just got the clifford matrix 3.5(rs) installed today (the alarm with the 2 way paging and remote start). My installer didn't install the remote start and I was wondering if I need it installed just to have the turbo timer feature?
