Question AC and Stereo System questions

1) My light has gone out on my ac. Not only that part of the image is obscured and somewhat clears, when I turn the car on, but not completely. I do know that you can order the bulbs and replace them but will that solve all my problems or do I have to replace the entire unit?
2) Also my Lexus does not have a cd player. This is something I would like to install. I know about the ipod for 610 or I can purchase a nacamichi stereo system for 2500. new (no way I can afford in my life time!!!!!!!!!!). I was wondering if there are other options and what prices they are. Specialist is helping me but this is my car and I want to learn as much as I can about repairing and restoring her.
Any info you can give me will be a great help.
Thanks

1. Are you saying your lights have gone out or the LCD is busted up? If its just the lights you are good- you can replace them..if you have black streaks in the unit, you r LCD is going bad..cant fix that.

2.Yes you can wire in a CD changer..it needs to be an FM modulated unit.. somewhat time consuming to do But I have done as well as others.

The sound really isnt that bad. I find that the sound quality is better than that of your radio and also better than the tape deck adapter.. I was actually impressed with the Kenwood unit I was using

I was blown away at the quality of the stock changer's sound. I had the Nak system in my first Sc, but someone removed the head unit and went aftermarket. My new SC has the Pio system and even though it is below the Nak, the changer makes it sound very good.
