Default SC300 head unit delima

I have a 92 Sc 300 with the good old non working 12 disc changer. Tapes are great and all but I need a CD player.
Aftermarket units(radios) never go well with factory interiors, they look very aftermarket.
Has anyone ever attempted to use a cd player from an MKIV Supra in an Sc? It looks roughly the same size, and had similar capabilities (controlled amps and a sub). Maybe with some creative wiring it would/could work?
Or are there any other Lexus radios that have an in dash cd player that will work?

There are companies like soundgate, blitz, periphrial, and pac that make changer adaptors. You should be able to find one that will work and alow you to use a pioneer or alpine cd changer. Start with soundgate, they have a good selection and work very well. You should find one that works from one of the companies I have listed. If not PM me with what you cd changer is doing and I should be able to help you better.

Do you know of anyone that has used one of these adapters on an SC? Blitz, Periphrial, and Pac had nothing listed on their site that applied to an SC. I emailed Soundgate, waiting to hear back.

About the sound quality... I had a kenwood unit ans the quality was not that bad...MUCH better than stock radio!!! Much better than tape!!! If you buy a quality unit you will be somewhat suprised, I was! But, I am not saying it will sound like an Eclipse Head unit

Has anybody gone with an aftermarket unit and made it look good, or used another Lexus headunit out of a newer car, say an IS300 w/6 disc indash changer?

Here's a pic of my 92 SC4 with a double din Kenwood deck. I think it looks as close to factory as you can get.
