For those familiar, any feedback on PPI amplifiers? Took the plunge & picking up the PC4100. I think it's 100x4 @ 4 ohms with a signal to noise @ about 115 db, damping is greater than 500, THD 0.02% & channel separation is greater than 90db. It seems pretty solid to drive a set of Dyn's.
I've got a PPI Sedona series 6-channel running since '92. :-) Most PPI's were built pretty solidly and the early PowerClass series sounded pretty good too. I have heard that some of the later stuff has gone down in quality. Though one shop I frequent recently recommended the same amp that you're looking at. Hmmm... two PC4100's can run a full 5.1 Dolby Digital system (@100 watts for the corners, and 400 watts for the center and sub). Unfortunately, I can't seem to find any reviews online so far about this amp. Guess I gotta thumb through my car audio mags... Plus, PPI just announced/released their new PCX series (that replaced the PC series). The comparible model is the PCX4125 (@125 watts x 4 channels or 500 watts x 2).
BTW, PM me with the price you're looking at, and I'll see if I can get you hooked up with a better price.
