Yup a new beautiful looking double din unit that will be available in April. It WILL NOT play dvd's, you will have to add a slave unit to do this feature.

Default Only of the 4 of them

I'm asking about those 4. And not any others. Reason being is because I'm looking to get one of the 4 to put into my 1999 GMC SUBURBAN. And I really dont no which of the 4 is better than the rest. And that's where I turn to all of you for good advice.

one reason to get the pioneer units no matter which one is that you can convert your factrory glovebox changer to work with the pioneer headunit and not waste the nav headunit playing cds. why throw away your japan made factory cd changer for one made in thailand or malaysia. the newer headunits even have full cd text with the original glovebox changer that came in your lexus even though your current headunit doesnt. after conversion it will plug into the avic brain box blue cd changer port. i have already converted 5 of them and all members very happy to keep the changer. even comes with enough cable to reach if brain is mounted in the trunk.

I'd go Eclipse. The Alpine is actually 3 units - 1 dash head, one brain box, one DVD unit for Nav. Eclipse is one. There's a new double din Alpine that's better than all of them if you're up for spending a bit more money - coming out soon if not already out - it's on their website.
No Clarion, no Kenwood for me. The others are better choices.

I'm not totally sure if the alpine (if that is the model your talking about) is better then all of them, since it doesn't offer navigation.
The price is pretty reasonable and it looks nice however.

Like I said, if you're up for spending more money (the double-din unit, plus the nav unit as well), then you wind up with a better unit that does everything. The touch screen on the Alpine is the best, it has good tactile feedback.
