I have a 96 LS 400 with the Pioneer Head unit and no CD Changer option.

The required Pioneer CD Changer Part is # 86270-50090.

I see that USA Spec makes a CD Changer for Toyota models from 98 on and list is as part #SCD-170E.

Any chance that this uses the same connector the Glovebox located 96 LS already has pre-wired??

Help from any Audio Pros who see this stuff on a regular basis would be helpful.

i have the same prob... I bought a 99 RX300 without a cd player. I'd like to put a changer in the prewired glovebox, but lexus wants $1200 plus labor. Local Audio shops tell me it has to be OEM. Seem like there should be be a way to use an adapter to make and aftermarrket changer work.

for $1200.00 plus labor?( my local dealer sell for $1523.31) you beter take it! I don't thing that easy, look at you car's globox do you see room for cd changer? you need to buy cd changer kit which will fit for changer and the woodtrim face ... it will cost you more than$600.00+cd changer+labor. I got the same problem for my 1996 LS400 but I got an use changer with kit for $400.00 but the changer part # is 86270-50100... I have post a question for that, hope some body can help!:
