I'm sorry, it will not work on the new 04 RX330 yet The hardwares, softwares and the rearveiw camera ECU's come in play. It is possible, if the viastech.com can get an 04 RX330 for testing as I'd stated in the first post, for someone in Denver, CO. All they need to do is hook up the laptop to the car, read the infomations from the car and then adjust/make their software to works with your car.

This is the only reason why their XM only work only on 01+ GS with Nav/ML and the 01-03 RX with Nav, because they only have 2 cars to work with. If they can get their hands on any Lexus's from 1990-2004, all of us will be happy with their plug and play XM radio.

VVT-i,

Is vaistech selling them directly to the public ?

Did it come with detailed instructions ?

Do I have to be an installer to be able to do this ?

Yes, you can contact vaistech.com and buy it from them. I suppose your car is the 2001 RX and I'm sure they will provide you the instructions.

If you know how to remove some of the trim parts. I don't think you need to get the installer to do the job. Because everything else is plug and play.

Alister, they don't have anything for the 98-00 Lexus with or without Nav yet.

please tell me they are working on a setup like this for the 01-03 ls 430 with nav/ml . I dont know if mine [ultra 01] has the prewired phone setup but I really want the non modulated xm satellite setup for my car. even if I have to put the commander head unit on the door of the 6 cd changer [how ironic]. wasted 3 hours at the stereo place yesterday only to have the dude say he couldnt figure out how to connect to the ls 430 audio unit. something about the fm antenna connector not being present. or at least findable by him. damn this is an exciting development.

i installed the xm antennae inside the car on the rear deck just behind the sub woofer ..

works perfect with no signal loss.. i wouldn't of installed xm if i had to put the antennae on the outside of my gs..

Default XM Interface

I look forward to getting one of the interfaces for my Roady in my 2001 RX. So I can get rid of the cassette adaptor.

On the XM antennna installation. I had it outside back by my spoiler. A few months later I installed the Roady into the sunglasses holder. While I did the install. I layed the antenna on the dash. It worked great. I put it all the way forward and in the center. Held down with velcro. I still get a couple of drop outs. But they dropped out in the same places when the antenna was outside.

Since I can't get anyone from viastech to give me a replay email, maybe you might know. I know you said it will not work with the RX330 because of the stated issues above, but what about the standard no navigation and no back up camera RX330 radio system? As far as I can see, there is nothing special about the standard RX330 system. Would it work with that? I would offer up my car for them but I'm in Hawaii so that is not practical.
