Default Question / help -stock sub swap

Is there any reason I would not be able to swap a sub from an sc400 with my LS the LS only had an eight inch sub the sc has a 10 inch sub. I'm pretty simple so to me wires is wires right, but yall are the experts any help or info

Default umm yah!!!!

I know size wise it wont fit, I'm refering to function. will it be a simple plug and play deal, or will I need a new amp, or bigger wire gauge. but thanks for responding!

I tried hooking it up, I was able to get sound from the sub, but it was really weak, in fact the door speakers were putting out more bass then the sub.
