system in gs (problems)
hey cl ppl... here is my problem and PLEASE HELP ME OUT~!!!... k i have a 2000 lexus gs300... stock system, non naka system... just yesterday, i put in 2... 12inch alpine type s subs, and runnin, a niche 1600 watt amp to power them... i did the install myself, plus i did many installs... and my car seems to be the only werid problem it's having... anywa's here is my problem, when the car is turn on acc... and try to bump system, no sound will come out, and then it will go in and out... but when i start car, the sound returns... but as soon, a power sourse comes on, ex... radiator fan, or ac... turning lights on, or even pullin down the windows... the sound will disappear again... and return 20-30 sec later... so i thought i had a low battery, so i replaced it with a optima, yellow top battery... i put it in, turn it on... seemed to work prefectly fine... but nite time came, and i turn on my lights... it was fine, but it started to get hot, so i turn on my ac, and FREAKIN BUGGER BUTTS... sound goes away again... but not as long as it used too, but after that, my sound comes and goes again...
it's really pissin me off, and upsettin me...
i have a friend too, he has the same problem, but he's runnin a autozone battery, and has a cap, trying to keep the power boosted... but same problem with his...
PLEASE CL, HELP ME OUT... MAKIN ME FEEL LIKE MY SYSTEM IS A PIECE OF AS;LKDFJ;LAKSJF... THANX FOR EVERYTHING IN ADVANCE...
Will

What size cable are you using for you power and ground on your amp. It may that the amp is shutting down to insufficent amperage, 1600 watts is gonna need some serious wire. Also make sure that your connections to ground are to a good clean surface. If all of that is good get multi meter and check to see if your remote wire is putting out constant power. Some head units will not put out enough ampreage to the amps remote turn on circuit requiring a relay to help.
