Anybody rockin the alpine R type woofers? I'm looking to get a pair of 12's for my sc4, but the x-type of coarse. It comes out in 2 to 3 weeks and they run at about 1000watts RMS and 3000watt peak, all carbon fiber, industructible. Anyone hear anything else? yey? ney? thanks!

 

haven't heard of the x type yet.

but i use to have Type R's and they sound very good for such a cheap woofer. They are a pretty darn good SQ sub for being only about 150 each. If you get the Type R's make sure you get the one with the right OHM's. There is a 2 ohm version and a 4 ohm version. depending on how many you want to run you may want to order the correct one.

 

i have two 10" type r's in my 1995 SC400. subs are in a sealed box and it sounds pretty good. I am using a Hifonics BX1500D monoblock amp to power the subs. (1 OHM) i took out the stock sub and left the screen there so theres a hole (rear deck port?), and it sounds awesome. I am quite happy with the type r's, but i am replacing them with an Adire Brahma 15"
