Speaker Install - "How-To" with TONS of pics!! SC3/400
Complete Speaker "How-To Install for Dummies", in the SC300/400. For reference, my car is a 1993 SC300. I've tried pretty hard to get and keep everything in order, but I may have screwed up, so let me know if I did and I will correct it (Cuz I'm not about to go over this whole thing and double check the all the pics at in the correct order and that nothing is left out.).
Oh, if you're on dial-up, jus kill yourself. Eternity will be shorter than this loading on 56k anyways... just kidding (about the suicide, cuz that's just not cool...). But seriously, dial-up = 9 days of waiting. I wouldn't try it if I were you.
MODS - might I suggest that somebody make this an FAQ/Sticky? I think it's pretty thorough and I'd hate to see it "get lost", so to speak.
TOOLS NEEDED:
10-15mm sockets
Philips-head screwdriver (A racheting [sp?] one is a good idea)
SMALL Flat-head screwdriver
Dremel
FRONT (DOOR) SPEAKERS:

"Gimme Some Mo'-Mo'-Mo'!"
*EDIT*: I jus noticed I forgot something... before pulling out the deck there are 2 more of those black, plastic push-pin things in the front of it. Pry those out a pair of flat-heads.
That's all I've got (for now)! I'll post another post like this when I get around to making my custom box for two 12"s. Hope this helps/ed somebody!!

Oh, one more thing... I didn't mention anything about wiring it up because there is waaaay too much variablity in that. EX: I ran new wires to all my speakers from an aftermarket amp. Some people may have the stock stereo or something else. Anyways, have fun!

Thanks asnatlas.... you actually made it possible! (I IMed you a while back about it and actually gave you props in my sig for the help ) There are tons of ppl that change speakers, but I've never seen any how-to about it, so I guess we were kinda on the same wave-length there.
Dandee, the OEM sub is located under the grille in the rear deck. If you think about it, that grille isn't necessary if it only need to house the brake light.

Dandee,
Believe me, the fronts are a lot more work if you try to keep that enclosure like I did. The worst part about the rears is having to crawl in and out and stay stooped over like that... I'm 6'2" and *heavy* (lol) so it's a biznitch! lol, later fellas!
