Since updating my iPhone 14 Pro to iOS18 (and now 18.01), notifications aren't working as they used to on my 2024 UX 250H (12.3" screen). Messages and calendar notifications used to display on the screen, regardless of whether the screen was displaying something from the Lexus interface (say, the Sirius radio station currently playing) or was displaying a CarPlay screen or app. Now If I have Messages notifications set to "Announce", messages are automatically read to me, but nothing is displayed unless I manually switch over to the CarPlay screen. I prefer to have messages not automatically read out - I like the pop-up that gave me the option to have the message read out, or not. I do hear the notification tones I have set for messages and calendar notifications, unless my phone is muted.

I don't have a driving focus set on my phone. My UX's software is up-to-date. I believe I have every setting on the phone set to display notifications, and they used to work before I updated to iOS 18. Doing searches for this issue, I see reports from drivers of non-Lexus vehicles of this same issue, so this seems like an iOS issue, not a Lexus issue. Just in case anyone has had this problem and gotten it resolved, I'm posting here. Suggestions welcome!
