How much should I lower my fuel curve on the E-manage above 50% throttle position and over 3000rpms to somewhat minimize the CEL code Fuel Rich 2/1.
I was thinkin dropping it (.5) minimum increment at a time to see how it runs. a little at a time.
Also under hard boost (8-10psi) I am getting misfires on 3,4,5,6.
boosting from 5-8PSI seems ok.... could that be attributed to stock cmpression ratio?

Thanks for the input Dan, but I am attributing the misfires to the very rich fuel map that I am running. Once I get my wideband I will be able to regulate on that A/F ratio so I can really start playing with the maps.
Rich, what are your plugs gapped to? I have a HKS DLI for misfiring problems, but I still misfire occasionally because I do not think the gapping that was originally recommended was approproate. I would say .030 if it isn't already at that...if you still misfire then try 28

.028 is already being used. I have to lean out my maps a bit... cause it is flooding (so to speak) the combustion chamber so much than if Im cruising and i slam on the brakes I stall. (cause fuel ratio is waaaay rich) I will read the eManage manuals tomorrow and plot a new test map.
I know you're very DIY oriented, but I highly recommend XX Tuning in wethersfield, CT. They've tuned my e-manage a bunch of times and produced great numbers.
This is just an alternative if you can't get the results you're looking for.

Thank you for your suggestion. I do not want to drive 90mins to tune a car. I dont want to pay anyone to tune my car. My car is going to go thru various tuning phases locally here, and I cant afford to RE-DO this each time. I figure if i learn how to do this the first time... I can replicate the process when I upgrade parts and shoot for higher power.
Makes sense? It does to me.
I could pay and get it tuned, but then I have no idea what anyone did in the event that i have a failure and no tuner is around. I dont like being an armchair tuner like some other people that post. I want to learn something along the way as well so that I can help some of my friends who are going boost by end of the year.
I understand. I've driven that 90 minutes several times, but the results are well worth it. I wish I could have taught myself how to tune with e-manage...but I don't have the time for it. All i'll say is that I hope you at least have a local place to dyno cause the power from the kit will never be at it's fullest potential without it. You'll end up with a good start after it, and then you can street tune it to perfection. I'm not telling you to have someone else tune it, but at least rent out a little dyno time for the sake of making the most power and getting that A/F right. You don't wanna be blowing or melting anything

How many people have blown up on the dynos? I know of MANY! I dont worry about numbers. Trust me I will make my street friendly and powerful.. its just a matter of time. Im still waiting on my o2 sims, and wideband data logger.
All I know is I raped a SUNY StonyBrook lowered, cf hooded, G35 coupe teenybopper on the LIE this morning and exit 58 I didnt even try. The biatch was curious about the exhaust tone and the gauges in the window and he got ownt.
I got the car running pretty pimp tonight with a few adjustments to the fuel maps.
I also re-wired the "SophieSleeps tuned" boost controller to conventional setup specs
Car is running AWESOME and SHIFTING perfect at 5PSI. Once I get my wideband and sims I will log the data and tune the maps to the perfect "isman approved" A/F ratio from 0-100% throttle.
For now I am very content, as I didnt have to ship my car hundreds of miles away
and yeh i'd rather go to Queens if something happens than to MD
did you have to move brake lines? i dont thik so right?
from what i can see you managed to fit everything without cutting holes in the body for IC piping?

Eugene... this kit fits really well. If you are in Queens feel free to contact me and swing by to see the car in person.

HAHAHAHA...... very good point. I will eventually make the trip to MD. I just wanna grasp the basics now.
