Default 2021 Packages

There's been a bit of a shake-up in the packages offered on 2021 LC. For me, the big takeaway is that you folks who have been complaining about the brakes (noise & dust) apparently have had some influence. It looks like the base and Touring packages now contain the replacement (lower performance) pads Lexus has been offering to those unhappy with the HiPo brakes heretofore installed in all LCs. The HiPo pads now seem to exclusive to the Sport and Performances Packages.

The First Column is the 2020 Package Listing. The Second Column is the 2021 Package Listing.

This would not be good for me, as I prefer the Touring Package's all leather seats and the HiPo pads.

Also, the Carbon Fiber scuff plates that were only available in LCs with the performance package and now a $600 option on "lessor" models.

I just don't understand how they're offering the CF scuff plates as a stand alone option for only $600, when the parts department quoted me $4500 per side!

If you look at 'em - The ones in the pict are already scuffed Personally I like the scuff plates I have

Edit - Remember the $600 price deletes the stock scuff which are expensive by themselves:

Default Disappointed

I honestly don't see why they don't just add the 360 camera and the massaging seats in from the LS. Its a 100k car on its 4th year for God sakes.

In Canada they keep your choices pretty simple: 1) base model, with basic everything. 2) Performance package, comes loaded with all individual options from the catalogue included. Special editions are the only choices depending on what's offered for that calendar year.

The loaner NX 300h I got from the dealership yesterday had the friggin' 360 camera. I'm going to install the front facing one from Beat-Sonic.
