Scheduled service
My '18 LC has a few more than 15K miles on it and I'm going to have a service done soon. I usually buy Mobile 1 synthetic at Costco and have dealer install it with new wiper blades and oil filter, skipping most everything else on the list. However; the dealer said that included in this service is a computer update. I don't expect to now have Apple Carplay, but have complained previously that in auto D mode the transmission doesn't up-shift to the highest gear soon enough and maintain it; I want the lowest engine rpm for marginally better fuel efficiency unless I choose to drive aggressively. (Coasting down hill is a good example; the car constantly overrides driver selection even in M mode) Anyone know what this update does as dealer was not sure?

Do not know about the update but a couple of questions as I am at the same mileage and am interested in the same rpm issue.
I thought the next oil change was at 20K (having done it at 10) and the 15K was just tire rotation and a general check up. I just had mine in at 15 for the brake squeal TSA (which has worked out great, by the way) and they did not mention a computer update or oil change at 15K.
On the rpm, I would also be interested in that fix - what drive mode are you using? I have a custom ECO/Comfort setting that seems to minimize that issue on the highway when coasting, but not completely. (Mine is a hybrid, so maybe that makes a difference). Thanks.

Service
My LC is an ICE with performance package. Curious that you mentioned tire rotation; that's impossible on my car as the front tires are not the same size as the rears. I read that the '19 model has -- in addition to Apple carplay-- a few adjustments to the engine/transmission and perhaps a few other minor things beside a special order yellow paint. We've had some snow in my area so I might have a better idea of what specific engine/transmission mapping changes were made, if any, after the service when the snow melts.

Tire rotation is just what thy told me is scheduled at 15 when I brought it in for the brakes - I didn't even think about it as I had just put winters on mine but, obviously, the front and rear are different sizes. Maybe they were just going off of a generic Lexus service list -- neither I nor they thought about the inapplicability to the LC.
Too bad the car play is not backward compatible to the 18.

Has anyone checked into the viability (and cost) of exchanging the existing 2018 radio for the new 2019 radio?
