Lexus grafting the LC on to the RC refresh... I own an LC and would now be hard pressed to tell these cars apart from a distance.

This is the kind of thing that turns off repeat buyers and kills resale values. Why clone the exclusive design of your +$100K flagship onto lesser cars? Why not give these cars their own design theme?

What's next, a LC looking Corolla coupe? Why not.

Discontinue the RC and lower the price on the LC by $25K...….

Why would they discontinue the RC when it is the platform that goes against the M, AMG brand? Lexus is testing a more hardcore track version of the RCF. Also, it is a compact, smaller and lighter car with a different focus than the LC. They don't look anything like each other due to the different size and shape. LC has more luxurious interior so I cannot see a way that price can be lowered. They are intended for different demographics.

RC-F looks just alright in pics and in person. The LC looks good in pics but the pics don't do it justice. It is beautiful in person. There's no comparison.

Just alright? No comparison? That is a very subjective claim and based on personal preferences. Definitely not the case, according to the complements, thumbs up and head-turns I get with my RCF especially in my Molten Pearl color.

What the OP is seeing is called brand cohesion, all brands do it. Go visit the Mercedes or BMW vehicle list on their website and you will see the exact same thing.

In my experience, guys tend to pay more attention to the differences between cars, I'm surprised OP is so confused by the two models.

just because they went with a similar style side mirror on the RC doesn't mean the whole car changed... I must also be missing the similarities the OP is seeing, because they look like two distinct models to me.

No doubt they are different and great cars. Just wish some of the unique design elements of the LC were kept more exclusive to justify the flagship price.

Perhaps the LS buyers feeling the same about the new ES??
