Miracast : "Video is not available while vehicle in motion."
 

Hi,

I would like to mirror the phone display via miracast while using Waze (navigation app) but after you put the gear into drive
"Video is not available while vehicle in motion. " text appears on the screen.

Is there any workaround to bypass this restriction? For example in the service station they can pull out this "feature" via hidden menu, software update , etc. ?

or i have to wait until android or apple car ?

Call me IGNORANT, but I'm not even sure what you're talking - but sounds interesting. If I understood correctly, you're saying you can mirror your phone screen to your LC infotainment screen?

Not ignorant. Beat-sonic has a systems that allows you to mirror your phone. But, it is an add-on that must be installed professionally, not through the cars miracast. Nothing but rave reviews.

But, I use Waze and Google Maps all the time through the bluetooth audio. The map doesn't show on the screen, but the audio directions are played through the speakers. Since Wave tells you when and where to turn, I don't think you need to see a map on the video. At least, I don't.

Will this bypass module void the car warranty after the installion ?

It works.

There is no more ""Video is not available while vehicle in motion. " text on the display while you mirror your phone screen to the navigation display by miracast.

You can watch DVD too, if you want, my goal was only to put waze/google maps navigation to the nav screen.

My lexus got an STN7028 Beat-Sonic Video Navigation In-Motion Controller.
(The earlier mentioned STN6927 perhaps is an older one module)
