Default Changing Temperature Units

Hi all,

I FINALLY GOT MY LC THIS WEEKEND!!!! YEAH!

So, I was playing around with the infotainment system, as I was trying to change the units of temperature (as I'm originally from Spain and lived in Canada). I found the area in the system where I could do that:

Menu --> Setup --> Unit of Temperature

When I tried to switch over to °C, nothing changed on my outside or inside temperature readings - they stayed in °F. Am I missing something here? I know that when I changed the units of consumption from MPG to KM/L it would show the change on the gauge cluster.

I would appreciate any feedback please, or see if anybody else here has experienced the same issue - otherwise I will have to take it to the dealer.

Thanks!

I looked into this too. Unlike changing from kilometers per hour to miles per hour, this change is difficult, involves new equipment and will cost a lot.

Rich is apparently correct. I found this:

"Can you change the temperature to register from Fahrenheit to Celsius?

Cars built for the U.S. will register Fahrenheit on the A/C display. Cars built for other markets will register Celsius on the display. Lexus does not recommend that the A/C display be modified from how the car was built at the factory."

Thanks for your input. I'm just curious, if that's the case, then why would Lexus put the option of switching the units of temperature in the setup menu (if it can't be done)?

I would ask the dealer, perhaps they can go into the OBD and change it there.

The setting changes the units in the weather app.
