most of us have taken our cars to the max at least once, even if they dont admit it. but yes, it doesnt matter what kind of technology is in a car. at 150 nothing is going to save you if something goes wrong. i took my LS400 to 160 once.

Still nice to know your car can do those kinds of speeds should you ever need/want to...

Same here, though I don't think my modified Z28 could quite get to 150. Took several others to 130. Stupid youth tricks - you think you're invincible :-) I don't think I've seen triple digits since I got married over 25 years ago.

But yeah, for the F cars (and LC500s), cruising at highway speeds, doesn't take but a few seconds to hot triple digits. One wrong (right) press of the gas and you're there, lol. Just be careful/safe doing it and don't risk harming other people. Nothing wrong with risking yourself if that's what you want to do. People do MUCH more dangerous things out here in the world than going triple digits in a car designed to do those speeds.
And by no means am I encouraging speeding, but many many many more people die in car accidents doing the speed limit or under the speed limit than they do driving over the speed limit☺️. Obviously the ratios are off, etc, lol. Just something to tell yourself while doing g triple digits! Lol.
Be safe out there!

I know what I did was stupid
Not stupid! I'm sure you were aware of the risks, didn't have small children with you and dynamite in the trunk.
If it was an experiment (which we are all tempted to do) it won't be nearly as much fun in the future. It's the point where you begin to think "I got this", when of course you don't...

After reading this thread, it makes me laugh. Some guys want big number in HP, or this car is lag, slow ....blah, blah, blah compare other cars on papers. But at the end of the day, they never ever use all of its potential nor ever take it the track, and it just stays in the garage most of the time. They buy it for status symbol.
