Lexus LC 500h Fuel Economy: 35 MPG on the Highway


The LC 500h hybrid coupe will deliver 35 MPG on the highway according to the Lexus USA website. In comparison, the 8GR-FXS 3.5L engine, paired with
, delivers a 16 horsepower boost and an additional 1 MPG improvement over the previous generation hybrid system used in the GS 450h.

I'm a little disappointed, I thought they may be able to get to 37mpg (though in an ideal world 40mpg). As it stands, 35mpg hw is really good. Wonder what the city will be rated at. The GS450h is rated at 29/34/31. It's very possible we could see 30+across the board. It's also worth noting that the new setup allows for electric only driving up to 87mph whereas the old system was only capable of a 62mph EV top speed (though in actuality its more like 32mph).

Any figures on the range of electric mode?

even with that HP , 4.7 0-60 is really good, the rcf is only 4.4 , thats honestly insane
