I guess most of the sale 2021 are convertibles. Do you have any info what numbers sale for each color? Thanks.

i think i must have been looking at canadian figures. Yes US total is 10,500ish so far

thats still very low volume. 10,500, globally probably 15,000?ish? i still dont think they make back their development costs.

low is relative (e.g., ferrari ) but yes, at 15k units they'd have to make 30k a car to be close to break even. i'd say 30k is very unlikely.

While nobody on this forum really knows the actual break even point in units sales for the LC per year, we do know that LC sales in the USA are running at only 36% of original projected goals. And with those dismal showings, it is highly logical to assume that Lexus is definitely in the hole with its continued production of the LC…..Thank you Lexus for continuing to support a car on which you make no profit but adds volumes to the reputation of the brand.

Also the weak yen right now probably skyrocketed supplier costs on already low volume orders.

that’s why I’m not too salty about not having little things like massaging seats, 360 degree camera, etc. in my eyes we’ve all gotten a pretty smoking deal on basically a bespoke engineering project. One that costs hundreds of millions of dollars to execute while we only paid a ~100k for the privilege of driving a concept car made into reality.

The problem I encountered in my search is that you have to jump into the $200k+ market to find anything that is even remotely as striking in appearance.

That market is a huge jump and, for me, doesn't provide the added value for how much more I would have to pay to get into it.

(My cheap *** also couldn't walk away from 0% APR for 60mo I got on my LC. )

i was recently at a mercedes dealer, and the new SL55 and SL63 coupes are pretty awesome. and less than $200k. but i don't think i'd appreciate the extra 50-80k for one over my LC.

agreed.

the more i enjoy my LC, the more i think we really did get a bargain for what it is. and i do think it's possible they will go up in value in time, although i'm not counting on it.
