Does LC require a specially trained tech? Or any tech at Lexus can service?

Default Does LC require a specially trained tech? Or any tech at Lexus can service?

All:

I'm asking this question because I've had some issues with my current dealer. It's clear to me that the same technician is the one that always handles my car. Does the LC require a specially trained technician at a Lexus dealerships or does any tech work on it? I had a VW Phaeton where I had to drive 30 miles away to get anything done to it because the local VW dealers didn't seem to know how to do anything to the car.

Unrelated but I'm thinking about going back to Mercedes S550 Coupe. I really loved the car, and nobody beats a Mercedes interior (as long as you have a top tier model). I also really appreciated the 360 camera, night vision and all the intuitively laid out technology. I love my LC but I get bored with cars after 2 years. The S550 coupe would be the first car I ever bought twice.

My Dealer sent one of his best guys to training. He’s the one that works on LCs. No one else does. I don’t let the “writers” drive my car. Only the Service Mgr or the Tech guy. No washing.

How come no washing? My dealer usually cleans up my LC. I have seen the car wash and its brushless.

Agreed on the car wash. My dealer does not have a brushless wash. Why?

I had two incidences with my IS back in the day where the dealer (Bell Lexus) scratched the windshield and the door panel. No more dealer washes for me, and we always do a walk-around and note any issues before they take it back.

You can request a hand wash. They do mine by hand at the dealer.
